WUKF South Africa Nationals & Africa Open – Gqeberha, South Africa – Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th March 2024
Kanzen were represented at the event by Roy O’Kane (Chief Officer), Dan Woods (Squad Coach), Cerys Hawes (Athlete), John McLaren (Athlete), Nicola Denny (Athlete) and Allanah Denny (Athlete).
The group achieved 1 Gold Medal, 5 Silver Medals and 3 Bronze Medals. Cerys Hawes became champion, winning the 21-35 Years Shobu Sanbon Under 65KG.
The group were very privileged to meet President Cyril Ramaphosa, the President of South Africa.
Thank you to our colleagues and friends in South Africa, new friendships were formed and existing ones enhanced. It was a pleasure to spend time in your wonderful country and a real personal growth experience for all involved.
