Ashley Bruce is a public servant within Dundee City Council and plays an active role in supporting our organisation. She is currently Secretary to the Lord Provost of Dundee.

Roy O’Kane is the Chief Officer of Kanzen Karate and is responsible for the overall management of the organisation. He has been involved with Karate for over 27 years and is also Executive Committee Member of the World Union of Karate-Do Federations (WUKF). He is a Burgess of the City of Dundee, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and holds an EQF Doctorate in International Sport Communication.

Sensei Peter Stanton is our Chair at Kanzen and our Development Officer. Peter brings a wealth of experience in Karate to Kanzen, having trained, competed, and coached at regional, national, and international levels for over 42 years. He retired from Police Scotland after completing 30 years’ service and relocated to Dundee to join Kanzen. He is also Secretary of the Scottish Karate Council, as well as being a member of the World Union of Karate-Do Federations (WUKF) disciplinary and Anti-Doping Commission.

Liam Reid is the Vice Chair of Kanzen and has been involved with the organisation as volunteer and supporter. He is currently Head of Policy to a Member of the Scottish Parliament.

Susan Muir is Safeguarding Officer for within Kanzen and an Instructor within the organisation. She has worked for the health service for many years and is currently within the NHS Education for Scotland within the Quality Improvement Team.
