We were delighted to welcome Sensei Emma Forbes from South Africa to Kanzen for a four week internship. Sensei Emma worked within Kanzen classes and on our community outreach projects.
She is a student at Stellenbosch University and is currently in her second year of studying a BA Sport Science Degree with Psychology. Her visit is part of the ‘Global Unity: The Kanzen Exchange Program’.
In addition to teaching, Emma also met with a range of community partners including Lord Provost of Dundee, Councillor Bill Campbell.
The program facilitates the sharing of knowledge and experience, promote cultural exchange, and develop a broader worldview.
It was great to welcome Emma to Kanzen and we thank her for all her hard work.
We are excited to be offering more of these exchange opportunities moving forward. Kanzen exists to promote physical activity, wellbeing and education and ‘Global Unity: The Kanzen Exchange Program’ does just that.
