Our Belt testing is judged on three criteria:

Technical Karate Development

This element of the belt test covers all Karate specific moves taught at each level. The focus is on how well members understand and perform their techniques

Physical & Movement Development

Karate is a physical activity, where movement quality and capability play an important role in development. Physical assessment supports confidence in movement, progression, and improved performance both in Karate and life.

Values & Mindset

Kanzen is built on values and our belt structure is designed to measure technical and physical progress, as well as mindset and character. As students advance, they should reflect the values that shape how they train, behave, and represent Kanzen both inside and outside the dojo.
