KANZEN DAN GRADING
Location: Kanzen HQ Dojo, 21-23 Mains Loan, Dundee
Date: Friday 27th November 2026
Time: 18:30 to 21:00
Our next Kanzen Black Belt Grading will take place on Friday 27th November 2026.
You are eligible to take the grading if you have held your 1st Kyu Brown Belt for a period of 6 months or more.
You are eligible for your 2nd Dan if you have held your 1st Dan for 2 years or more.
You are eligible for your 3rd Dan if you have held your 2nd Dan for 3 years or more.
Participation is subject to application approval. Your application will then be reviewed, and you will be sent a confirmation email once accepted.
Please note that the deadline for response is Friday 13th November at 17:00. From this deadline the online portal will close, and no more applications will be accepted.
The Kanzen Karate Technical Committee administers the process, and successful applicants will receive a high-quality certificate and Embroidered Black Belt (if grading for 1st Dan). All grades are recognised by World Union of Karate-Do Federations (WUKF).
Unsuccessful applicants will not pay a resit fee. Grading Fees are as follows:
1st Dan: £120
2nd Dan: £120
3rd Dan: £120
The Dan Gradings cost more than regular gradings due to the cost of professional accreditation.
The Dan Grading is one of the most important stages in our Karate journey and we wish you every success.
